Role Description The Design Engineer role at P413 IT Solutions is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune City.

The Design

Engineer will design, develop, and optimize GIS and web-based applications, collaborating closely with developers, trainers, and project stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical solutions. Daily tasks include creating application architectures, designing data models and spatial workflows, writing and reviewing technical specifications, and supporting implementation and testing activities. The role also involves troubleshooting design issues, improving performance and usability, contributing to documentation and best practices,



and occasionally supporting training or project guidance for clients and learners.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in software and application design, including experience with system architecture, data modeling, and solution design for web or GIS applications.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages commonly used in GIS and web development (for example, JavaScript, Python, C#, .NET), and familiarity with spatial databases and open-source GIS tools.
- Knowledge of Web GIS concepts and workflows, with experience in tools such as ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, Leaflet, QGIS, GeoServer, or similar platforms considered an advantage.
- Ability to analyze requirements, conduct technical research, and translate functional needs into clear design documents, diagrams, and implementation plans.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with attention to performance, scalability, and quality in application design.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams and interact professionally with clients and trainees.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field; relevant GIS or software development certifications are a plus.
- Willingness to work in office in Pune City and engage in continuous learning in GIS technologies, web development frameworks, and modern software engineering practices.
