In this role, you will convert design inputs into complete parametric 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and comprehensive technical documentation packs (user manuals, spare parts catalogues) for defence bridge systems of 20–60 m span. Key Responsibilities

- Structural Design: Perform basic sizing calculations by hand/Excel (members, deflections, weld/bolt sizing) and select standard sections/fasteners. [1]

- 3D Modelling: Build parametric 3D models of large welded assemblies, structural members, sheet metal, and mechanisms. [1]

- Drafting: Release GA, assembly, and detail drawings with strict application of GD&T;, tolerances, and ISO/AWS weld symbols. [1]





- Technical Documentation: Author user/maintenance manuals, training materials, and Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPC) with exploded views using tools like SolidWorks Composer. [1]

- Site Support: Provide daily shop-floor support at the Chakan works and assist during assembly, load testing, and field user trials. [1]

Required Skills &

- Experience

- Experience: 6+ years designing bridges, gantries, trusses, cranes, or heavy welded steel/aluminium structures.

- CAD Tools: Proficiency in SolidWorks, CATIA V5, Creo, or NX for 3D modelling, and AutoCAD for 2D drafting.

- Documentation Tools: Exposure to SolidWorks Composer, CATIA Composer, or Creo Illustrate for exploded views.

- Standards: Robust understanding of GD&T;, weld symbols (ISO 2553/AWS A2.4), and structural steel codes (IS 800/IS 2062).

- Eligibility: Must be an Indian national eligible for defence project clearances.

- Note: FEA / ANSYS stress analyst profile is NOT required for this role.
