About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Java Spring Boot Developer to join our engineering team at a fintech company in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java development, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs, along with a good understanding of scalable and secure backend systems.
Experience in fintech, banking, payments, lending, or other financial services platforms will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for financial technology applications.
Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
Work with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
Identify and resolve technical issues, optimize application performance, and ensure code quality.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
Write unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability.
Work with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools to support efficient software delivery.




Follow secure coding practices and contribute to the reliability and scalability of fintech applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.
Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
Good understanding of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
Familiarity with Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
Understanding of multithreading, exception handling, collections, and Java fundamentals.
Valuable problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced development workplace.

Preferred Skills
Experience working in the fintech, banking, payments, lending, or financial services domain.
Familiarity with Apache Kafka or other messaging systems.
Exposure to AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
Understanding of application security, transaction processing, and data consistency.
Knowledge of payment gateways, financial APIs, or banking integrations.
