Amgen seeks a Manager for Value & Access Transformation Initiatives to lead data science projects addressing US pharmaceutical access challenges. The role combines advanced analytics, machine learning, and operational research to build and deploy high-impact solutions, overseeing 2-4 associates.

Drive full lifecycle delivery of data science projects and guide associates in solution development as subject matter expert

Manage AI tool roadmap in collaboration with global cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into technical specifications

Oversee 2-4 associates including performance standards, staffing, and monitoring; Conduct exploratory and targeted data analyses using statistical methods, machine learning, and MLOps pipeline development to identify trends and support decision-making

Master's in computer science, statistics, or STEM with 6+ years information systems experience,



or Bachelor's with 8+ years

Foundational knowledge of US pharmaceutical ecosystem, patient support services, and claims/prescription/EMR data

Proficiency with R, Python, or similar analytic software tools

Robust foundation in machine learning algorithms, statistical techniques, hypothesis testing, regression, clustering, classification

Experience managing full lifecycle of data science projects and leading technical teams

MLOps tools (MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow), Python ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
