We are seeking a Financial Controller to own accounting, financial control, and cash governance for a high-growth US company, working remotely from India.

Alongside the integrity of the financial statements, you will own the controls over how money moves through the business: cash, spend approval, working capital, and entity compliance. You will report to the CFO or CEO and give leadership an accurate, forward-looking view of the company's financial position.

The close and the financial statements. Own multi-entity consolidation, intercompany accounting, and foreign currency translation.

Deliver monthly management accounts and board-ready reporting with clear commentary on performance and risk.

Financial Control and Cash

Cash and treasury. Own cash management, bank relationships, and the 13-week cash forecast.

Oversee AP, AR, collections, and payment runs.

Audit and tax. Lead the annual audit and coordinate US tax compliance with external advisers.

Maintain statutory compliance for each legal entity, including covenant and investor reporting.

Lead the accounting and finance operations team, and manage external accounting, payroll,



and tax partners.

10+ years of accounting and finance experience, including leading a team

- Ownership of the close, the financial statements, and the control environment of a company or business unit
- Direct experience with cash management, treasury, and cash forecasting
- Experience designing and enforcing internal controls and approval workflows
- Experience leading an audit and coordinating tax compliance with external advisers
- Substantial experience with a major ERP, such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong written and spoken English, with the confidence to present to executives, auditors, and banks
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification

CA (ICAI), US CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent strongly preferred

Experience using AI tools in accounting workflows, with the judgment to review and correct AI-generated output

Multi-entity and foreign currency experience

Big 4 or public accounting experience followed by industry experience

Experience with debt facilities, covenant reporting, or fundraising due diligence

Experience at a venture-backed or PE-backed US company

A finance leader who wants to own both the accuracy of the numbers and the controls around the money, and who is as comfortable challenging an unapproved payment as defending a technical position to an auditor.

This is a fully remote role with a single client company for the duration of the engagement. Full-time roles require a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time (ET); part time roles require a minimum of 2 hours.
