The Role

We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to own the close and core financial reporting of a high-growth US company and turn its numbers into planning and decisions, working remotely from India.

Accounting is the core of the role: you will own the close and the financial statements behind it. On top of that foundation, you will build the budget, forecast, and management reporting the business runs on, working directly with the Controller, CFO, or founders.

What You'll Own

Accounting and the Close

The close. Own the monthly,



quarterly, and annual close, including the calendar and quality of output.

Financial statements. Prepare the P&L;, balance sheet, and cash flow statement under US GAAP, and explain the movements behind them.

Controls and audit. Maintain close checklists and approval workflows, and prepare PBC schedules for the annual audit or review.

Planning and Analysis

Budget and forecast. Build and maintain the budget and a rolling forecast, tied directly to the actuals you close.

Management reporting. Deliver a monthly package with budget-versus-actual analysis, KPIs, and clear commentary.

Cash and partnership. Maintain the cash forecast and help department heads understand their spend and hiring plans.

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of accounting and finance experience, with accounting as the primary foundation
- Hands-on ownership of the month-end close
- US GAAP experience, or robust Ind AS or IFRS experience with exposure to US clients or entities
- Experience building budgets, forecasts, or budget-versus-actual reporting
- Strong financial modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets
- Experience with a major ERP or accounting system, such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Online, or Xero




- Strong written and spoken English for daily work with US teams
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent professional qualification

Preferred

CA (ICAI), US CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent

Experience using AI tools in accounting workflows, with the judgment to review and correct AI-generated output

Experience supporting an audit or review

Experience with planning tools such as Adaptive, Pigment, or Mosaic

SaaS or recurring-revenue experience, including ARR and deferred revenue

Experience at a venture-backed or PE-backed company

Work Arrangement

This is a fully remote role with a single client company for the duration of the engagement. Full-time roles require a minimum of 4 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time (ET); part-time roles require a minimum of 2 hours.
