Job Overview:

Our client is looking for a Debt Collection Agent to serve as a founding member of a tech-enabled collections team, working directly on a proprietary AI platform that streamlines the entire debt collection process.

In this role, you will shape operations using cutting-edge contact center technology, including integrated dialers and voice solutions. Working closely with leadership, your performance will directly impact the growth trajectory of both the collections agency and the technology platform.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST; Full-time role

Responsibilities:

- Conduct outbound calls to debtors using the company's AI-enabled contact center platform and integrated dialer system.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and settlements while maintaining compliance with debt collection regulations.
- Document all interactions and maintain accurate records within the proprietary CRM system.
- Learn and adapt to the company's custom technology stack, providing feedback for platform improvements.
- Meet or exceed collection targets and performance metrics established by leadership.
- Handle inbound inquiries from debtors regarding account status and payment options.
- Collaborate with the founding team during the onboarding phase to establish best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain professionalism and ethical standards in all debtor interactions.

Requirements:

- Demonstrated experience in debt collection, collections agency work, or third-party collections with a proven track record of successful recoveries.




- Strong negotiation skills and ability to handle difficult conversations with empathy and firmness.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Technology proficiency and ability to quickly learn new platforms and contact center software.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Experience working with dialer systems and CRM platforms in a collections environment.
- Knowledge of debt collection compliance requirements and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working with AI-enabled or automated contact center solutions.
- Experience being part of a startup or early-stage team, helping establish processes.
- Experience training or mentoring collectors.
- Experience working with clients in the financial services or credit repair industry.
- Experience across multiple collection verticals or with various debtor demographics.
