Amgen seeks a Manager for V&A; Transformation Initiatives to lead advanced analytics projects addressing US Value & Access challenges. The role combines data science expertise with team leadership, developing machine learning and statistical solutions to optimize business outcomes in the pharmaceutical access space.

Responsibilities

Drive full lifecycle delivery of data science projects and guide data scientists in developing solutions

Manage proprietary AI engine built to optimize copay and ensure models meet SLA expectations

Oversee 2-4 associates including performance standards, staffing, and monitoring

Develop and deploy machine learning, operational research, and statistical methods to uncover patterns in large datasets

Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and AI-driven automation

Requirements





Master's in computer science, statistics, or STEM with 6+ years information systems experience, or Bachelor's with 8+ years

Foundational knowledge of US pharmaceutical ecosystem, patient support services, and standard datasets including claims and EMR

Proficiency in analytic tools such as Python or R with robust machine learning foundation

Experience with statistical techniques, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, clustering, and classification

Demonstrated ability to manage data science projects and lead technical teams collaboratively

Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills with ability to translate business needs to technical specifications
