About the Job

Under the responsibility of the Operation Analyst, he/she contributes to:

Monitoring the financial performance of all initiatives related to plant operations activities.

Management accounting and the application of management rules.

Analysis of production and plant financial results.

Support preparation of forecast budgets including standard cost set-up.

Should gain an understanding of the fundamentals of Plant Business Partnering so that he/she is able to produce timely and well-presented information to the business to support decision making.

Key Responsibilities Specific to the Role

Operations Planning

Contributes to the preparation of annual forecasts and actively participates in the preparation of the presentation to management.





Supports the development of standard costs for manufactured and planned products, in close coordination with production engineers and maintenance managers on industrial cost components.

Support discussions related to the preparation of indirect production charges forecasts.

Owns the financial aspects of the capex process.

Participates in the development of operational objectives in the 3 year Masterplan process, that is aligned to Group and Division strategic objectives.

Supports the S&OP; process in close collaboration with supply chain.

Plant Operational Controls

Analyze monthly industrial and financial performance results.

Identify and highlight significant variances and key performance drivers, providing transparent financial commentary and insights.

Support preparation of monthly review meetings aimed.

Contribute to the management of the Cost Performance improvement project by centralizing improvement initiatives, challenging assumptions, calculating financial impacts.

Support rolling forecasts proactively or upon management request, incorporating actual results and planned corrective actions.

Support inventory processes and contribute to inventory valuation and result analysis.

Reporting and Analysis

Analysis on variances and action plan.

Support the standard costing implemented in SAP/BPC.

Ensure alignment on method and timing regarding production cost calculation and other Industrial cost booking and forecasting.

Support new reporting and new reporting tool implementation.

Driving Profitability

Maintains and contributes to the development of key performance dashboards for the departments under his/her responsibility, performs detailed analyses, and highlights deviations and risks.

Proposes corrective and preventive action plans, monitors their effectiveness, and proactively anticipates potential issues.

Participates in profitability and return-on-investment analyses for capital expenditure and investment requests.

Contributes to the Free Cash Flow performance analysis with a specific focus on inventories management.

Conducts economic and financial studies related to plant operations upon management request.

Cross-Functional Leadership and Team Contribution

Work across organization boundaries and all levels of the company to achieve objectives, in particular ensure full coordination and sharing of information / best practice with regional and local finance, commercial business partners and product managers.
