Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to support costing, accounting, financial reporting and taxation activities. The candidate should have solid analytical skills and the ability to maintain accurate financial records, monitor business costs and provide insights that support profitability and management decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and analyse product costs, landed costs, operating expenses and profitability reports.
- Monitor procurement, freight, storage and distribution costs to identify opportunities for cost optimisation.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts, analyse variances and report key findings to management.
- Maintain books of accounts and perform ledger scrutiny,



bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing and finalising financial statements, including the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account.
- Handle applicable tax calculations, return preparation and statutory compliance coordination.
- Monitor inventory valuation, stock reconciliation and cost of goods sold.
- Prepare periodic MIS reports covering costs, margins, cash flow, receivables and payables.
- Coordinate with auditors and tax consultants, providing supporting schedules and documentation.
- Strengthen internal controls and ensure the accuracy and timely completion of financial reporting.

Candidate Requirements

- CMA / ICWA qualification or CA (Inter).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Accounts, Finance and Taxation.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, financial reporting and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to independently analyse financial data and meet reporting deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills and professional integrity.
- Experience in trading, import-export, distribution or inventory-intensive businesses will be an advantage.
