BMS Engineer – EV & Energy Storage Systems (ESS)

Location: Coimbatore

Experience: 3-6 Years

Qualification: BE/B.Tech/ME/M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or related disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

- Battery Management System (BMS) integration for EV and Energy Storage Systems (ESS/BESS).
- Configure, calibrate and validate BMS functions.
- Perform battery pack and BMS testing, validation and troubleshooting.
- Develop and analyze CAN communication networks.
- Support firmware flashing and software validation.
- Conduct root cause analysis for battery and BMS failures.
- Support product development, certification and production implementation.
- Coordinate with design, testing, quality and supplier teams.

Mandatory Skills
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in BMS Integration, Calibration, Configuration and Testing.
- Strong knowledge of Lithium-Ion Battery Systems (LFP & NMC).
- Experience in SOC, SOH, SOP estimation and Cell Balancing.
- Knowledge of Battery Protection Logic, Fault Detection and Contactor Control.
- Strong understanding of Battery Pack Architecture and BMS Functions.
- Experience in High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) Systems.
- Knowledge of Pre-Charge Circuits, HVIL and Insulation Monitoring Systems.
- Hands-on experience in CAN, CAN-FD, J1939,



UDS Diagnostics and Modbus Communication.
- Experience using CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape and PCAN Tools.
- Experience in DBC Creation, Configuration and CAN Communication Debugging.
- BMS Firmware Flashing, Software Validation and Parameter Configuration.
- Experience in Battery Cyclers, Cell Simulators, HIL Systems, DAQ Systems and Oscilloscopes.
- Ability to read Electrical Schematics, Wiring Diagrams and Harness Drawings.
- Experience in Functional Testing, Validation Testing and Protection Testing.
- Strong Debugging, Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis skills.
- Knowledge of AIS-156, AIS-038, IEC 62619, UL 1973 and UL 9540 standards.
- Experience in EV Battery Pack Development and System Integration.
- Solid technical documentation and reporting skills.

Preferred
- Experience in EV, ESS or BESS applications.
- Exposure to MATLAB/Simulink and Python.
- Knowledge of EV Charging Systems and Protocols

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
