The Bid Manager is responsible for leading the preparation, coordination, costing, and submission of competitive technical and commercial proposals for HVAC, Refrigeration, and MEP projects. The role acts as the focal point between Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Project Execution, and external partners to ensure compliant, optimized, and profitable bids aligned with client requirements and EQUANS standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete bid lifecycle from tender receipt through submission and contract handover.

- Review customer specifications, tender documents, drawings, and contractual requirements to define bid strategy and compliance.

- Coordinate cross-functionally with Sales, Design, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Execution teams to develop winning proposals.

- Prepare technical and commercial offers for HVAC, Refrigeration, Ventilation, Chilled Water, DX Systems, and associated MEP packages.

- Develop project cost estimates, pricing models, cash flow forecasts, and commercial risk assessments suitable for competitive local and international markets.

- Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), Bill of Materials (BOM), supplier quotations, and subcontractor proposals.

- Develop Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project execution strategies, and work-package structures for medium and large-scale projects.

- Support design-to-cost and target lifecycle cost (TLC) initiatives to enhance bid competitiveness and profitability.

- Conduct bid reviews,



identify technical and commercial risks, and propose mitigation measures.

- Prepare bid presentations, management approval packages, and customer clarification responses.

- Ensure compliance with EQUANS procedures, quality standards, and governance requirements.

- Support customer negotiations and project handover to execution teams upon contract award.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

- 10-15 years of relevant experience in HVAC, Refrigeration, or MEP industries.

- Marine, Defence, Shipbuilding, Offshore, or Industrial project experience preferred.

- Strong understanding of HVAC and Refrigeration systems, products, applications, and associated services.

- Experience in tendering, estimation, project costing, and commercial proposal preparation.

- Knowledge of project planning methodologies, WBS development, and execution strategy preparation.
