Job Summary:

We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled Baristas for our upcoming hospitality project in Lower Parel, Mumbai. The ideal candidate should have a passion for coffee, knowledge of espresso-based beverages and hands-on experience operating professional coffee machines. The candidate should be committed to delivering consistently high-quality beverages and excellent guest service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, americano, mocha and other specialty coffees.
2. Operate and maintain espresso machines, coffee grinders and other beverage equipment.
3. Demonstrate knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, extraction techniques and beverage preparation.
4. Ensure consistency in coffee quality, taste, temperature and presentation.
5. Prepare beverages according to standard recipes and established quality guidelines.
6. Perform milk steaming, frothing and basic latte art techniques.
7. Prepare and serve cold coffee, iced beverages, frappes, teas and other non-coffee beverages.
8. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the coffee station and equipment.
9. Monitor coffee bean, milk, syrup and other beverage inventory.

Ensure proper storage and handling of coffee beans and other ingredients.
11. Assist in opening and closing procedures of the beverage counter.
12. Take guest orders and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
13. Ensure timely beverage preparation and coordinate with the service team.
14. Follow food safety, sanitation and company operational standards.
15. Minimise wastage and ensure proper portion control.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 1 - 3 years of experience as a Barista in a cafe, restaurant, hotel or coffee shop.
- Positive knowledge of espresso-based beverages and coffee preparation.
- Hands-on experience operating commercial espresso machines and grinders.
- Knowledge of milk steaming, frothing and basic latte art.
- Understanding of coffee beans, brewing methods and extraction.
- Knowledge of cold coffee, iced beverages and other specialty drinks.
- Good communication and guest-handling skills.
- Robust attention to detail and presentation.
- Good grooming and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Education: Minimum HSC / 12th Pass preferred. Barista certification or hospitality-related qualification will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

Candidates with experience in specialty coffee shops, premium cafes, restaurants, hotels and coffee-led hospitality establishments will be preferred.
