Role & responsibilities

- Regular update on Competition market scenario - Technology, Sales strategy and Pricing,
- Provide inputs for New product development (NPD) to HQ, and subsequently plan for NPD,
- Assessment of competition models, identify areas of product improvement and set new benchmarks,
- Liaisoning with HQ and HO to freeze product specification / attributes,
- Lead New Product Development activity - From Design approval to Pilot production,
- Mitigate bottle-neck / hurdles during the phases of new product development,
- Ensure introduction of planned new models as per targeted time-line,
- Explore new ideas and culminate these into Cost innovation projects assessing the pros and cons,
- Establish testing process for recent component / sub-assembly through QA and ensure integration in the Test Plan,
- Evaluate process constraints for new products and ensure resolution to achieve target cycle time,
- Technical support to QA (Field quality) for minimising Field Call Rate,
- Identify gaps in team members deliverables, and enhance skills by facilitating relevant technical/soft skill training.
