Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Solution Architect to provide strategic architecture leadership across our data and cloud landscape.

The role will shape technology direction, define target-state architectures, and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, cost-effective, and aligned with enterprise strategy.

The successful candidate will partner with business, engineering, security, platform, and architecture teams to translate strategic objectives into pragmatic technology solutions, with a strong focus on Azure and Databricks.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and shape end-to-end solution architecture across data and cloud initiatives.
- Define target-state architectures, technology roadmaps, and strategic design principles.
- Translate business strategy and complex requirements into scalable and sustainable technology solutions.
- Establish architectural patterns for data platforms, integration, APIs, batch, streaming, and cloud services.
- Provide strategic direction for Azure, Databricks, data platforms, and integration technologies.
- Ensure architecture addresses security, governance, resilience, scalability, performance, and cost optimization.




- Lead architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and technology strategy.
- Assess architectural risks, dependencies, technical debt, and downstream impacts.
- Influence technology decisions and provide guidance to engineering and delivery leadership.
- Drive standardisation, reuse, and simplification across the technology landscape.

Required Experience & Skills
- Extensive experience in Solution, Data, or Cloud Architecture within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure and Databricks architecture.
- Deep understanding of modern data platforms, lakehouse architectures, integration patterns, APIs, ETL/ELT, and data modelling.
- Robust understanding of cloud security, identity, governance, networking, resilience, and compliance.
- Experience defining architecture principles, reference architectures, technology standards, and roadmaps.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and cloud operating models.
- Working knowledge of Python and SQL, with sufficient technical depth to guide and challenge engineering decisions.
- Strong commercial awareness, including cloud cost management and technology investment trade-offs.
