Job Summary
Skan is building a central global TA team anchored in India, and this role is the US extension of that. As Recruiter for the US, you will carry a full recruitment load - sourcing, screening, and closing candidates across technical and functional roles in the US and Canada, while working in close coordination with the India-based TA team who are managing the broader global pipeline. You will not just support hiring; you will own requisitions, run searches end to end, and be the person candidates in North America interact with throughout their process.
This is a core recruiting role, not a coordination function. The expectation is that you are actively driving searches, building pipelines, and closing roles while also being the time-zone-aligned partner the India team depends on for US and Canada hiring.
What You Will Do
- Own end-to-end recruitment for US and Canada roles, sourcing, screening, offer management, and close with full accountability for each requisition you carry.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates in North America, running first calls, managing communication, and keeping the process moving at a pace that reflects well on Skan.
- Work in tight coordination with the India TA team, supporting their global searches for US and Canada roles by covering candidate-facing work in real time, in the right time zone.
- Build and maintain active pipelines for both technical and functional roles, going beyond active candidates to reach talent that is not looking.
- Own interview scheduling across stakeholders and time zones - keeping the process efficient and candidates well-informed at every step.
- Maintain accurate candidate data in the ATS and ensure pipelines are current and communication loops are always closed.
- Surface candidate feedback and process gaps to the team quickly so adjustments can be made without delay.
What We Are Looking For
You must bring
- 3 to 5 years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience, ideally within a technology company or fast-moving startup.
- Solid verbal and written communication, you are comfortable making cold calls, running candidate screens, and managing several conversations at once without dropping the ball.
- The kind of organisational discipline that high-volume work demands. Details matter here and you know how to keep them straight.
- Working fluency with ATS platforms and standard recruitment tools.
- The ability to operate independently in a US time zone while staying well-aligned with a global team.
Valued additionally
- Exposure to technical recruiting or experience screening candidates for engineering and product roles.
- Familiarity with US employment practices, candidate expectations, and regional hiring norms.
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment where pace and adaptability are the default, not the exception.
