Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AS400 / IBM i Developer with strong hands-on expertise in RPG programming, DB2/400, and legacy application support. The candidate will work on application modernization and migration initiatives, including legacy application analysis, code remediation, data validation, testing, and migration support.

Mandatory Skills

- 8+ years of experience in AS400 / IBM i development.
- Strong hands-on experience in RPG IV, RPGLE, ILE RPG, Free-Format RPG.
- Experience in SQLRPGLE and CL/CLLE.
- Solid knowledge of DB2/400 and Embedded SQL.
- Experience in AS400 application analysis, development, and support.
- Understanding of application modernization and migration projects.
- Experience in code remediation, debugging, and data validation.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
- Excellent communication and ownership skills.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze existing AS400 applications, business logic, dependencies, and interfaces.




- Support IBM i / AS400 application modernization and migration projects.
- Review and enhance RPG, CL, and DB2/400 components.
- Perform code remediation and migration impact analysis.
- Support data extraction, conversion, reconciliation, and validation.
- Conduct unit, system, and integration testing.
- Troubleshoot application defects and migration-related issues.
- Monitor batch jobs and support production issues.
- Prepare technical documentation and migration artifacts.
- Coordinate with business users, architects, and migration teams.
- Support deployment, cutover, and post-migration activities.

Good to Have

- Cloud migration / application modernization experience.
- API integration knowledge.
- ETL and data migration concepts.
- Agile project experience.
- ERP / Supply Chain / Manufacturing domain knowledge.

Important: Candidates must have strong hands-on AS400 development experience and should be available to join immediately. Strong communication and end-to-end task ownership are essential.
