Role: Area Sales Manager - Current Account

Department: Retail Liabilities / Current Account Acquisition

Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager / Cluster Head

Key Responsibilities

- Drive acquisition of Current Accounts from SME, Corporate, Traders, Professionals, and other business segments.
- Lead and manage a team of Relationship Managers/Acquisition Managers to achieve business targets.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase Current Account acquisitions and balances.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customers, business owners, and channel partners.
- Ensure growth in CASA, fee income, and cross-sell products such as Trade Forex, POS, Merchant Services, and Business Loans.
- Monitor team productivity, pipeline management, and conversion ratios.
- Conduct market mapping and competitor analysis to identify business opportunities.
- Ensure adherence to compliance, KYC, and regulatory guidelines.
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members to enhance sales effectiveness.
- Coordinate with branch teams and support functions for seamless customer onboarding.
