1. Job Title: Application Engineer

2. Qualification:

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (DME) / BE Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE).
- Candidates with 3–7 years of experience are preferred.

3. Job Purpose: To understand customer requirements, provide technical support, identify suitable honing tools and machines, conduct machine trials, and support customers in achieving the required machining quality and productivity.

4. Roles and Responsibilities

A. Technical Knowledge

- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering.
- Understanding of machine tools and machining processes.
- Knowledge of honing machines, honing tools and their applications.
- Understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.
- Basic knowledge of CNC machines and industrial automation.

B. Machine & Process Knowledge
- Understand the working principles of horizontal and vertical honing machines.
- Knowledge of single-pass honing and expansion honing processes.
- Understand honing tool selection based on component requirements.
- Knowledge of honing stones, abrasives and diamond tools.
- Understand bore finishing, surface finish, roundness, taper and cylindricity.
- Identify machining problems and provide suitable technical solutions.
- Conduct machine trials and process demonstrations.
- Understand machining parameters such as speed, feed, stroke and pressure.

C. Application & Customer Support
- Understand customer component drawings and machining requirements.
- Recommend suitable honing machines and tools.




- Coordinate with customers for machine trials and demonstrations.
- Provide technical assistance during installation and commissioning.
- Support customers in process development and cycle-time improvement.
- Prepare technical reports and trial reports.
- Coordinate with the sales and production teams.

D. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare machine trial reports.
- Maintain customer application records.
- Prepare technical quotations and product specifications.
- Maintain records of customer complaints and technical solutions.
- Submit daily work reports to the reporting manager.

5. Required Skills

- Good machine and process knowledge.
- Basic knowledge of engineering drawings.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Positive communication and presentation skills.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations.
- Knowledge of MS Office and Excel.
- Ability to learn new machines and manufacturing processes.

- Surface finish and dimensional inspection.
- Manufacturing process improvement.

Pay: ₹25,563.00 - ₹35,880.00 per month
