We are hiring for Senior Accountant, Financial Close and Reconciliations Domain for Bangalore.

Notice Period: Immediate to 15 Days Only

Shift: Adaptable to work for any shift

Note: we are looking for Accounting and Close.

Role Summary:

The Senior Accountant, Financial Close and Reconciliations prepares bank, balance sheet, and subledger reconciliations, tie-outs, close workpapers, and journal entry packages, and supports the external audit.

Most reconciling items clear. The ones that do not are where the role earns its value: an item that keeps rolling forward, a variance that is small but persistent, or a balance that ties but for the wrong reason. The role is expected to investigate the root cause rather than plug the difference, and to explain the item plainly. These are the cases the role exists to get right.

This is a preparer role only. Approval, posting, sign-off, and all accounting-policy judgement are retained by, preserving segregation of duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Reconciliations:

- Prepare bank, balance sheet, and subledger reconciliations to the close calendar, including card settlement and customer funds accounts.
- Investigate and explain reconciling items, and track aged items to resolution.

Escalate unresolved or unusual items with a clear explanation.

Month-End Close:

- Prepare tie-outs and close workpapers.




- Prepare journal entry packages with supporting documentation for review and posting.
- Meet close calendar deadlines and flag risks early.

Audit Support:

- Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for external audit requests.
- Respond to auditor queries promptly and accurately.

Process Improvement:

- Identify recurring reconciling items and recommend fixes at source.
- Standardise and automate reconciliation workpapers where practical.

Experience & Qualifications:

Level and Tenure:

- Intermediate, upper band Process Associate to Manager (PAM).
- 6+ years of accounting experience, including reconciliations and month-end close.
- CPA designation or progress toward it, or equivalent accounting qualification.

Required Skills and Experience:

- Extensive experience preparing reconciliations and close workpapers.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Working knowledge of IFRS.
- Root-cause discipline: investigates unexplained differences rather than plugging them. Assessed at interview through a case exercise.
- High attention to detail.

Preferred:

- NetSuite experience.
- Payments or card settlement accounting experience.
- Experience with a reconciliation automation tool.
- Financial services or fintech experience.
