1. JOB PURPOSE

To lead procurement activities, ensure timely availability of quality materials, develop reliable suppliers and optimise purchasing costs while maintaining uninterrupted production operations.

1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials, castings, machined components, bought-out parts and consumables.

- Develop and manage suppliers from casting, machining and automotive component industries.

- Negotiate prices, commercial terms, payment conditions and delivery schedules.

- Ensure timely procurement of materials as per production requirements.

- Identify cost reduction opportunities through supplier development, negotiations and alternate sourcing.

- Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery and pricing.

- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality and Finance departments for smooth procurement operations.

- Monitor purchase orders, pending deliveries and material shortages.

- Establish long-term supplier relationships and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.

- Drive continuous improvement in procurement cost, supplier performance and inventory management.

1. TECHNICAL & MANAGERIAL COMPETENCIES

- Strong knowledge of casting, machining and automotive components.

- Supplier development, negotiation and vendor management.

- Knowledge of raw materials, manufacturing processes and costing.

- Understanding of procurement planning and inventory management.

- ERP / SAP and MS Excel proficiency.

- Leadership, analytical and decision-making skills.

1. AUTHORITY & ACCOUNTABILITY

- Authority to negotiate commercial terms and recommend supplier selection as per company policy.

- Responsible for supplier performance, procurement cost and timely material availability.

- Accountable for efficient procurement operations and uninterrupted production supply.

Overall Accountability: To ensure cost-effective procurement, reliable supplier development and timely availability of quality materials, with preference for candidates having strong experience in casting and machining industries.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
