Role & responsibilities To lead and manage the Design & Engineering activities for agricultural pumps, ensuring product development, design optimization, cost reduction, product quality, and compliance with relevant national and international standards.

The role involves developing cutting-edge and energy-efficient agricultural pump products, improving existing product designs, managing engineering teams, and providing technical support to manufacturing, quality, sales, and marketing functions.

1. Lead the design and development of agricultural pumps and related products.
2. Review and approve 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and engineering specifications.
3. Ensure product designs meet customer requirements and performance specifications.
4. Drive design standardization, modularization, and component interchangeability.
5. Implement design improvements for reliability, durability, and cost effectiveness.
6. Ensure timely completion of design projects as per organizational targets.

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering Mandatory.
- M.E. / M.Tech in Mechanical Design / Fluid Mechanics Preferred.




- Specialization in Hydraulic Engineering or Pump Design will be an added advantage.
- 15 to 20 years of experience in Design & Engineering.
- Minimum 45 years in a managerial / leadership role.
- Strong experience in agricultural pump design and development.
- Experience in pump manufacturing industries is mandatory.
- MNC or reputed pump manufacturing company experience preferred.
- Agricultural pump design and development.
- Hydraulic design and pump performance optimization.
- Impeller, casing, shaft, and diffuser design.
- Motor and pump integration.
- CAD software: Creo / SolidWorks / CATIA / AutoCAD.
- CAE tools: ANSYS / CFD / FEA – preferred.
- GD&T; and engineering drawing interpretation.
- BOM management and engineering change management.
- Knowledge of BIS/ISI and applicable international standards.
- Product testing and validation.
