Role & responsibilities

1. Candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement cycles for Raw Materials, Packing Materials, and Excipients for Pharma formulation both domestic and international markets.
2. Candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing strategies to optimize costs while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory standards (such as WHO-GMP).
3. Candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire import procurement process, including customs clearance, logistics, freight forwarding, and ensuring adherence to international trade regulations.
4. Candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and on boarding reliable domestic and global vendors, while managing annual rate contracts and SLAs to mitigate supply chain risks.
5. Candidate will be responsible for collaborating closely with Production, Quality Assurance, and R&D; teams to align procurement timelines with manufacturing schedules and prevent stock-outs.
6. Candidate will be responsible for driving cost-reduction initiatives through effective negotiation, market intelligence gathering,



and tracking global commodity price trends.
7. Candidate will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and monitoring the performance of the purchase and logistics team to ensure operational efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Candidate with B.Pharma, B.Sc., and MBA in Purchase Materials Management, should have experience of 15 to 20 years in Raw Materials (API), Packing Materials (PM), and Excipients for Pharma formulation both domestic Purchase Import Of international markets.
2. Candidate should have experience in handling both domestic procurement and direct imports of APIs/chemicals, with deep knowledge of custom duties, DGFT, and EXIM policies.
3. Candidate should have experience working within standard pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks and maintaining audit-ready documentation for sourcing plants.
4. Candidate should have experience demonstrating exceptionally robust negotiation, vendor relationship management, and analytical skills.
