Accounts Receivable Manager - A Product-based Tech Startup, Bengaluru

Job Summary: A leading product-based technology startup is keen to hire an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager professional with 4+ years of relevant experience to manage end-to-end receivables operations, customer accounting, billing, collections, reconciliations, and month-end financial closing. The role offers exposure to financial controllership, working capital management, internal controls, audit coordination, and process improvement initiatives while working closely with the finance leadership team.

Location: Bengaluru

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end Accounts Receivable operations, including customer accounting, invoicing, billing, and receipt accounting.
- Monitor customer outstanding balances, AR ageing, and collections to ensure timely recovery of receivables.
- Perform customer account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies, unapplied receipts, and billing-related queries.
- Manage month-end closing activities, including AR ledger scrutiny, revenue reconciliations, provisions, and balance sheet schedules.
- Ensure accurate recording of customer receipts, credit notes, debit notes, and other accounting adjustments.
- Coordinate with sales, business, and operations teams to resolve customer disputes and payment-related discrepancies.
- Monitor credit limits, payment terms, and overdue balances while ensuring adherence to internal credit policies.




- Assist in statutory and internal audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and audit responses.
- Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and process improvements to enhance receivables management and collection efficiency.

Requirements:

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and end-to-end Accounts Receivable processes.
- Hands-on experience in customer accounting, billing, invoicing, collections, and receipt accounting.
- Good understanding of AR ageing, customer reconciliations, and credit control.
- Experience with month-end closing, ledger scrutiny, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and advanced formulas.
- Solid analytical skills, attention to detail, and stakeholder management abilities.

Qualification: CA Inter-qualified candidates with completed CA Articleship Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable / corporate accounting – post-articleship.

Working Days: Monday–Friday

Interview Rounds: 2 rounds with the hiring manager technical + 1 round with HR (can be f2f/virtual)
