Accounts Payable Manager - A Product-based Tech Startup, Bengaluru

Job Summary: A leading product-based technology startup is keen to hire an experienced Accounts Payable Manager professional with 4+ years of relevant experience to manage end-to-end vendor accounting, invoice processing, payment operations, reconciliations, and month-end financial closing. The role offers exposure to financial controllership, internal controls, audit coordination, and process improvement initiatives while working closely with the finance leadership team.

Location: Bengaluru

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable operations, including vendor invoice processing, payment processing, and expense accounting.
- Review vendor accounts, perform reconciliations, and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies and outstanding items.
- Oversee AP ageing, vendor outstanding balances, and payment schedules to ensure timely settlements.
- Manage month-end closing activities, including AP ledger scrutiny, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements, including GST and TDS related to vendor transactions.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, procurement teams, and vendors to resolve invoice and payment-related queries.
- Assist in statutory and internal audits by preparing schedules, supporting documentation, and audit responses.




- Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, and process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of AP operations.

Requirements:

- Strong understanding of accounting principles and end-to-end Accounts Payable processes.
- Hands-on experience in vendor accounting, invoice processing, payment processing, and reconciliations.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and statutory compliance related to vendor transactions.
- Experience with month-end closing, ledger scrutiny, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and advanced formulas.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and stakeholder management abilities.

Qualification: CA Inter-qualified candidates with completed CA Articleship. Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable / corporate accounting – post-articleship.

Working Days: Monday–Friday

Interview Rounds: 2 rounds with the hiring manager technical + 1 round with HR (can be f2f/virtual)
