Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Specialist PostgreSQL with 7–11 years of experience in PostgreSQL database development, performance tuning, query optimization, and production support.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in designing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases, developing complex SQL queries, supporting ETL/data integration processes, and ensuring database performance, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL databases.
- Perform database performance tuning and query optimization to improve response times and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and database objects.
- Implement effective indexing strategies and optimize query execution plans for large datasets.
- Design and maintain ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
- Support data integration initiatives and ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production database environments and resolve performance bottlenecks and data-related issues.
- Ensure high availability, reliability,



scalability, backup, and recovery of PostgreSQL databases.
- Follow database security and performance best practices.
- Collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
- Provide production support, including database monitoring, batch job monitoring, and release management.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, reviews, and other team activities.
- Mentor junior team members and share PostgreSQL best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest PostgreSQL features, tools, and industry trends.
