Salary: ₹20,000–₹28,000 per month (depending on experience and capabilities)

About Accounting Genie

Accounting Genie is an accounting and compliance services venture supporting startups, SMEs and e-commerce businesses with bookkeeping, taxation, payroll and financial reporting services.

We are looking for a capable and detail-oriented Accountant who can independently handle day-to-day accounting activities, statutory compliances and financial statement preparation.

Key Responsibilities

· Manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting for business clients.

· Maintain accounting records, ledgers, vouchers and bank reconciliations.

· Handle GST and TDS calculations, reconciliations, return preparation and filing.

· Manage monthly payroll processing and applicable statutory compliances.

· Prepare trial balances, profit & loss statements and balance sheets.

· Assist with monthly and annual account closures and financial statement finalisation.





· Coordinate with clients for financial documents, accounting queries and compliance requirements.

· Maintain compliance records and ensure timely completion of assignments.

· Coordinate with CAs and auditors wherever required.

Requirements

· Minimum 2 years of practical experience in accounting and taxation.

· Good working knowledge of bookkeeping, GST, TDS, payroll and balance sheet preparation.

· B.Com / M.Com qualification; CA Inter or CA Final candidates who have discontinued the course are preferred.

· Working knowledge of MS Excel, Tally, Zoho Books or other accounting software.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Ability to independently manage assignments and maintain client relationships.

Preferred: Experience working with CA firms, accounting consultancies, SMEs or e-commerce businesses.
