Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Apps DBA + Data Warehouse Consultant with 8-10+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle E-Business Suite administration, Oracle Database management, infrastructure support, and Data Warehouse environments. The ideal candidate should possess solid expertise in Oracle EBS R12.1/R12.2, Oracle Database 12c/19c, high-availability architectures, cloud exposure, performance tuning, system migrations, and enterprise data platforms.

The role requires ownership of end-to-end Oracle applications administration, database performance, patching, cloning, disaster recovery, environment management, and support for enterprise reporting and data warehousing initiatives. Experience in cloud technologies, automation, and large-scale production support environments will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Oracle Apps DBA Administration

Oracle EBS Environment Management

- Administer and support Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1/R12.2 environments.
- Manage multi-node, shared application tier, and high-availability environments.
- Perform system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Maintain Production, UAT, Development, DR, and Testing environments.
- Manage Oracle Forms, Reports, Workflow, Concurrent Processing, Web Logic, and Oracle Fusion Middleware components.
- Support business-critical Oracle EBS operations with minimal downtime.

Oracle EBS Cloning & Refresh Activities

- Execute end-to-end application and database cloning activities.
- Perform Rapid Clone configuration and post-clone activities.
- Manage refreshes across DEV/UAT/TEST/DR environments.
- Troubleshoot cloning-related issues and ensure environment integrity.

Oracle Patching & Upgrades

- Perform Oracle EBS Online Patching using ADOP.
- Apply CPU, PSU, RUP, TXK, and technology stack patches.
- Manage Oracle EBS point upgrades and technology stack upgrades.
- Coordinate system patching with cross-functional teams.
- Plan and execute patch testing, cutover activities, and rollback procedures.

Oracle Database Administration

- Administer Oracle 12c, 19c databases in highly available environments.
- Perform database installation, upgrades, migrations, and maintenance.
- Configure and support RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and RMAN.
- Monitor database performance and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot complex database issues and optimize database performance.

Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery

- Define and maintain backup and recovery strategies.
- Perform RMAN backup/recovery operations.
- Conduct periodic DR drills and failover testing.
- Manage standby databases and Data Guard environments.
- Ensure compliance with organizational RPO and RTO objectives.

Performance Tuning & Optimization

Database Performance Tuning

- Analyze AWR, ASH, ADDM, Statspack reports.
- Perform SQL tuning and execution plan analysis.




- Resolve database bottlenecks and resource contention issues.
- Optimize storage, indexing strategies, and database configurations.

Oracle EBS Performance Tuning

- Tune Concurrent Managers and Workflow processes.
- Optimize forms, reports, interfaces, and custom programs.
- Monitor application server performance.
- Identify and resolve EBS-specific performance challenges.

Security & Compliance Management

- Manage Oracle EBS users, responsibilities, menus, and security profiles.
- Implement segregation of duties (SoD) and audit requirements.
- Support internal and external compliance audits.
- Review and maintain Oracle application security controls.
- Manage SSL certificates, wallet configurations, and encryption mechanisms.

Automation & Scripting

- Develop shell scripts for administration and monitoring activities.
- Automate routine DBA and application support tasks.
- Implement proactive monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
- Create deployment automation and health-check utilities.
- Support CI/CD integrations where applicable.

Data Warehouse Responsibilities

Enterprise Data Warehouse Support

- Support Oracle Data Warehouse environments and reporting platforms.
- Manage ETL schedules, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Work closely with reporting and analytics teams.
- Ensure data quality and consistency across warehouse systems.
- Support enterprise BI reporting requirements.

Data Modeling & Architecture

- Understand and support:
- Star Schema
- Snowflake Schema
- Fact and Dimension Modeling
- Slowly Changing Dimensions (SCD)
- Data Governance Standards
- Collaborate with business and data teams for reporting and analytics initiatives.

ETL & Integration Support

Hands-on experience with one or more:

- Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
- Informatica Power Center
- Talend
- SSIS
- Apache NiFi

Responsibilities include:

- ETL job deployment and monitoring
- Data reconciliation
- Workflow troubleshooting
- Performance improvements
- Data quality validation

Data Lake & Modern Data Platform Exposure

Preferred experience in:

- Data Lake architecture concepts
- Structured and unstructured data management
- Data ingestion frameworks
