Job Description – Sourcing Manager (FMCG / B2C)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Sourcing Manager with a strong background in FMCG and B2C brands. The candidate should have hands-on experience in sourcing products directly from manufacturers, brand owners, and suppliers.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new brands and manufacturers, developing vendor relationships, negotiating commercial terms, managing product sourcing, and ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining product quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Brand & Manufacturer Sourcing

- Identify and connect with established FMCG brands, manufacturers, and product suppliers.
- Build strong relationships with B2C and D2C brands.
- Source products across FMCG categories such as personal care, beauty, cosmetics, home care, food, grocery, and lifestyle.
- Identify potential brands and manufacturers for business partnerships.
- Develop a strong network of reliable suppliers and manufacturers.

2. Vendor Management & Negotiation

- Negotiate product pricing, MOQ, payment terms, credit periods, and commercial agreements.
- Compare quotations and finalize the most competitive suppliers.
- Manage vendor onboarding and maintain long-term business relationships.
- Ensure timely procurement and product availability.
- Work towards reducing sourcing costs and improving profit margins.

3. Product & Private Label Sourcing

- Identify opportunities for private-label and white-label products.
- Coordinate with manufacturers for product development and customization.
- Manage product samples, quality checks, packaging, and specifications.
- Evaluate product quality, pricing, shelf life, and market potential.

4. Procurement & Supply Chain Coordination





- Manage end-to-end sourcing activities from vendor identification to final product delivery.
- Coordinate with inventory, warehouse, and operations teams.
- Monitor purchase orders, stock availability, and delivery timelines.
- Ensure products meet required quality and compliance standards.
- Maintain proper sourcing and procurement records.

5. Business Development & Growth

- Identify new FMCG brands and product categories with business potential.
- Explore new sourcing opportunities to expand the product portfolio.
- Build strategic partnerships with brands and manufacturers.
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and product demand.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in FMCG sourcing, procurement, or vendor management.
- Previous experience working with established B2C, D2C, or FMCG brands.
- Robust connections with manufacturers, suppliers, and brand owners.
- Excellent negotiation and commercial management skills.
- Experience handling MOQ, bulk procurement, pricing, and payment terms.
- Knowledge of private-label and white-label sourcing.
- Understanding of product quality, packaging, shelf life, and FMCG supply chains.
- Strong communication, coordination, and relationship-building skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Candidates who have worked with FMCG companies, B2C brands, or D2C businesses.
- Candidates with direct manufacturer and brand-owner sourcing experience.
- Experience in building and managing a strong vendor network.
- Ability to independently handle end-to-end sourcing operations.

- Note: Candidates with only general purchase or distributor-level buying experience may not be suitable. Preference will be given to candidates who have directly handled FMCG brand and manufacturer sourcing.
