Job Summary

The Hostel Manager will be responsible for the overall management and administration of hostel facilities, ensuring a safe, clean, disciplined, and comfortable living environment for students. The role involves managing hostel staff, student welfare, maintenance, security, and daily hostel operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage the day-to-day operations and administration of the hostel.

2. Ensure proper allotment of rooms, check-in, check-out, and maintenance of student records.

3. Maintain discipline and ensure compliance with hostel rules and regulations.

4. Monitor housekeeping, cleanliness, hygiene, and sanitation across hostel premises.

5. Coordinate with maintenance, security, housekeeping, and other departments for smooth operations.

6. Address student complaints, grievances, and accommodation-related issues promptly.

7. Ensure proper functioning of hostel facilities, including electricity, water supply, furniture, and other amenities.

8. Monitor hostel security and ensure the safety of students.

9. Supervise hostel wardens, housekeeping staff, security personnel, and other support staff.

10. Maintain records of hostel occupancy, visitor entries, inventory, and other administrative activities.

Coordinate with parents, university authorities, and other stakeholders regarding student-related concerns.

12. Ensure compliance with university policies, safety standards, and emergency procedures.

13. Conduct regular inspections of hostel premises and submit operational reports to management.

14. Manage hostel inventory, supplies, and budget-related requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

- Graduate Required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hostel administration, facility management, or hospitality operations.
- Experience in managing large residential facilities or student hostels will be preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Positive problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of hostel administration and facility management.
- Ability to handle student grievances and emergency situations.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and record management.
