Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant with solid expertise in e-commerce accounting and financial management. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience managing marketplace transactions, reconciliations, GST compliance, financial reporting, and accounting operations for e-commerce businesses.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including sales, purchases, expenses, and journal entries.
- Handle accounting and financial transactions related to e-commerce marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, and AJIO.
- Perform marketplace settlement reconciliation, including sales, commissions, marketplace fees, returns, refunds, and other deductions.
- Reconcile marketplace payments with bank statements and accounting records.
- Manage GST calculations, GST returns, TDS compliance, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and other financial reports.
- Monitor outstanding payments, credit notes, debit notes, and vendor reconciliations.
- Track inventory valuation, stock adjustments, sales returns, and related accounting entries.




- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies in marketplace settlements and financial records.
- Assist with internal and external audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards and applicable regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation and ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and recommend improvements in financial processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Required 4–7 years of experience in accounting, preferably in an e-commerce company.
- Strong hands-on experience in e-commerce accounting and marketplace reconciliation.
- Practical knowledge of GST, TDS, statutory compliance, and taxation.
- Experience in handling marketplace settlements, commissions, refunds, returns, and payment reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and accounting software; knowledge of ERP systems is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, ledger management, and bank reconciliation.
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple accounting tasks and meet reporting deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Candidates with prior experience in e-commerce, retail, footwear, fashion, or marketplace-based businesses will be preferred.
- Experience handling high-volume transactions across multiple online marketplaces will be preferred.
- Ability to independently manage accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
