Job Overview

We are looking for a proactive and result-oriented Purchase Manager with 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, and vendor management, preferably in manufacturing, laboratory instruments, scientific equipment, or the chemical industry.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, the ability to bargain effectively with suppliers, and a keen eye for pricing, product quality, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers for manufacturing materials, laboratory instruments, chemicals, and other required products.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Compare quotations from multiple vendors to ensure competitive pricing and the best value for money.
- Evaluate product quality, specifications, and supplier reliability before finalizing purchases.
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) according to company requirements.
- Coordinate with production, R&D;, stores, accounts, and other departments to understand purchasing requirements.
- Monitor market prices and identify opportunities to reduce purchasing costs without compromising quality.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Resolve issues related to product quality, incorrect supplies,



pricing discrepancies, and delayed deliveries.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or vendor management.
- Experience in manufacturing, scientific instruments, laboratory equipment, or the chemical industry will be preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Robust negotiation and bargaining skills to obtain the best possible prices.
- A keen eye for pricing, product quality, specifications, and cost-effectiveness.
- Ability to compare quotations and make cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Good vendor management and relationship-building skills.
- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and email communication.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate effectively with different departments.
