- Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare ingredients such as chopping, grinding, marinating and seasoning. Prepare a variety of authentic South Indian dishes, including dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, chutneys, meals, biryani and traditional curries, following hotel recipes and standards.
- Quality & Presentation: Ensure consistent taste, flavour, texture and quality in every dish. Maintain proper portion sizes and attractive food presentation for restaurant, buffet and banquet services.
- Inventory Management: Monitor daily kitchen stock, check ingredient freshness, maintain proper storage and follow FIFO procedures to minimize food wastage and control kitchen costs.
- Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain a clean and organized workstation. Follow food safety, personal hygiene and sanitation standards. Prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper cleaning of kitchen equipment.
- Kitchen Operations: Handle daily food preparation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, buffet and orders. Ensure timely preparation and coordinate with the service team for smooth operations.




- Staff Supervision & Training: Supervise kitchen helpers and junior chefs, train team members in South Indian cooking techniques, delegate responsibilities and ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Menu Planning: Assist the Executive Chef in planning South Indian menus, introducing traditional dishes and maintaining standard recipes.

Qualifications & Experience

- Previous experience as a South Indian Chef in a hotel or restaurant preferred.
- Good knowledge of authentic South Indian cuisine, including Tamil Nadu cuisine.
- Expertise in preparing traditional breakfast items, meals, biryani, gravies, curries and chutneys.
- Knowledge of food safety, kitchen hygiene and cooking techniques.
- Ability to manage kitchen operations and work in a rapid-paced hotel environment.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
