Purchase Manager – Packaging Materials

YNOT Plastics & Packaging is hiring a Purchase Manager to handle procurement for our packaging business. You will source materials and services, negotiate with suppliers, and coordinate deliveries so production has the right materials on time.

Key responsibilities

- Plan purchases based on confirmed orders, production schedules, stock levels and supplier lead times.
- Source packaging materials such as films, laminates, inks and adhesives. Coordinate outsourced printing, cylinder engraving and other job work as required.
- Obtain and compare supplier quotations. Evaluate pricing, material specifications, minimum order quantities, delivery timelines and payment terms before recommending purchases.
- Negotiate commercial terms, issue purchase orders after approval and track each order through delivery.
- Develop alternate suppliers for critical materials and review existing suppliers on quality, cost and delivery performance.
- Coordinate with the production and stores teams to confirm material readiness, verify incoming quantities and resolve shortages, delays or quality issues.




- Work with the accounts team to reconcile purchase orders, goods receipt records and supplier invoices, and coordinate payments as per agreed terms.
- Maintain purchase records, track material price changes and report pending orders, supply risks and cost savings to management.

Candidate profile

- Experience in purchasing, procurement or vendor management. Experience in adaptable packaging, plastics, printing or manufacturing is preferred.
- Ability to read material specifications, compare quotations and negotiate independently with suppliers.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience using ERP or purchase order software.
- Strong follow-up skills and the ability to coordinate with suppliers, production, stores and accounts.
