Role overview. Teach Telugu live online to children of the Telugu diaspora, non-native speakers living in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and anyone keen to connect with the language and its culture. You will help learners speak, read and write Telugu with confidence.

Key responsibilities

- Teach the Telugu script (aksharalu, guninthalu, vattulu), reading and writing
- Build spoken Telugu for everyday conversation, with vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation
- Tailor lessons for kids (stories, rhymes, songs), heritage learners and adult beginners
- Bring in cultural context: festivals, literature, proverbs and media
- Prepare learners for school or diaspora-program assessments (e.g. SiliconAndhra ManaBadi, Telugu Badi) where requested
- Use interactive online tools, worksheets and games; set homework and track progress on the dashboard across 12 to 96 session plans
- Keep sessions punctual and follow MakRew's code of conduct and child-safety policy

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of experience teaching Telugu online
- Native or near-native fluency in spoken and written Telugu
- Ability to give at least 6 hours per week to MakRew
- Good English to teach non-native and diaspora learners

Preferred

- A degree or certificate in Telugu, Linguistics or Education (e.g. BA/MA Telugu, Telugu Pandit, B.Ed)
- Experience teaching children, especially diaspora kids in the US, UK, UAE or Australia
- A solid social media presence featuring Telugu lessons or content
- Knowledge of Hindi, Tamil or Kannada
