Job Summary

G.D. Goenka Public School, Kolkata, is inviting applications from highly qualified, experienced, and dedicated educators for the position of PGT Commerce Teacher. The candidate should possess strong subject expertise in Accountancy and have substantial experience in teaching senior secondary students in accordance with the CBSE curriculum.

The ideal candidate must have successfully taught and prepared at least 3–5 batches of students for the CBSE Class XII Board Examinations and demonstrate the ability to deliver quality academic instruction while ensuring excellent student performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Commerce-related subjects, particularly Accountancy, to senior secondary students (Classes XI and XII) as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Plan and deliver structured, engaging, and effective classroom lessons.
- Prepare lesson plans, academic schedules, assignments, worksheets, and assessment materials.
- Ensure comprehensive coverage of the prescribed CBSE syllabus within the stipulated academic session.
- Provide conceptual clarity and practical understanding of Accountancy and other relevant Commerce topics.
- Prepare students thoroughly for CBSE Class XII Board Examinations through regular assessments, revision sessions, mock examinations, and practice papers.
- Analyse students' academic performance and provide individual guidance wherever required.
- Maintain academic records, assessment reports, and other relevant documentation.
- Identify students requiring additional academic support and conduct remedial classes as necessary.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, departmental meetings, academic planning, and other school-related responsibilities.




- Contribute to the preparation and implementation of academic strategies to improve students' Board Examination results.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- Master's Degree in Accountancy is mandatory.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- Must have successfully taught and prepared at least 3–5 batches of students for the CBSE Class XII Board Examinations.
- Proven experience in teaching the CBSE curriculum at the senior secondary level.
- Demonstrated ability to independently handle Classes XI and XII and prepare students for Board Examinations.
- Strong understanding of CBSE examination patterns, assessment practices, and syllabus requirements.
- Candidates with a consistent track record of good academic results in CBSE Board Examinations will be preferred.
