Project description
ITD is the custodian of technology. We efficiently source, deploy and maintain technology solutions across the entire organization, working as a strategic partner for the business and fostering prudent innovation by empowering our teams
Responsibilities
The Senior AI Test Automation Engineer builds the test automation capability for the ADIA enterprise applications estate. It has two main parts: AI-assisted test tooling on the Microsoft Agent Framework (Python or .NET), and automated regression packs in Playwright, run from Azure DevOps pipelines and versioned in Git. API and integration work – MCP servers, schemas, authentication, error handling and observability – runs through both. The engineer is expected to independently design and establish the core automation framework, working closely with the Test Manager to align technical implementation with testing strategy, delivery priorities, and quality objectives. The role also includes supporting UAT activities and stakeholder communication when required.
Skills
Must have
Design and build AI-assisted test automation on the Microsoft Agent Framework (Python or .NET), using structured outputs so agent results are machine-readable rather than free text.
Design, build and maintain the automated regression packs in Playwright with pytest/Python or TypeScript, following a reusable and maintainable framework design.
Run the suites from Azure DevOps pipelines and version all automation assets in Git: scheduled and on-demand execution, test-data provisioning, result publishing and defect linkage.
Automate API and integration testing: MCP servers, schema validation, authentication, error handling and observability.
Working in collaboration with technical SMEs in other IT team, take technical ownership of designing and establishing the automation framework, collaborating closely with the Test Manager to ensure alignment with testing objectives, quality standards, and delivery priorities. Communicate technical decisions, progress, and outcomes clearly to support effective test governance and reporting.
Assist with UAT and stakeholder management when required: prepare scripts, coach business testers, triage findings and report progress.
Maintain automation assets, test data and documentation in the team's repositories.
Minimum 5 years in QA / test engineering with at least 3 years hands-on in test automation, including recent delivery using LLM or agent-based tooling.
Nice to have
Microsoft Agent Framework (or a close equivalent such as Semantic Kernel, AutoGen or LangGraph) in Python or .NET, covering structured outputs, orchestration, evaluation and telemetry.
Solid Playwright experience with pytest/Python or TypeScript, including building a framework rather than only extending an existing one.
API integration, MCP servers, schemas, authentication, error handling and observability.
Azure DevOps and Git-based version control of automation assets.
Good communication skills: willing to assist with UAT support and stakeholder management when required.
Good to have: Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and/or HCM or Oracle EBS functional knowledge, Opkey and/or Tricentis Tosca; SQL, Good to have: test design techniques, risk-based testing and test-management tooling (ADO Test Plans or qTest); performance testing; ISTQB.
