Required Qualification: Certification in Special Education
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Shadow Teacher to provide one-to-one support to a child with special educational needs in a school setting in Shalimar Bagh, Delhi.
The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of relevant experience working with children with special needs and a certification in Special Education. The candidate should be patient, observant, and capable of supporting the child's academic participation, communication, classroom engagement, and independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualised academic and classroom support to the child.
- Help the child understand and follow classroom instructions and daily routines.
- Support communication, social interaction, and participation in classroom activities.
- Assist with classroom transitions and school activities when required.
- Apply appropriate learning and behavioural support strategies based on the child's individual needs.
- Encourage independence and positive participation in the classroom.
- Coordinate with classroom teachers, parents,
and relevant professionals when appropriate.
- Observe the child's progress and communicate relevant updates.
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience working with children with special needs.
- Certification in Special Education is mandatory.
- Previous experience as a Shadow Teacher or Special Educator is preferred.
- Ability to provide individualised learning and classroom support.
- Valuable communication and observation skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a responsible approach to supporting children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and parents.
Salary and Working Conditions
- Monthly salary: ₹15,000–₹18,000.
- Employment type: Part-time.
- Working schedule: 5 days per week.
- Working hours: 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
- Work location: School setting in Shalimar Bagh, Delhi.
