- Follow and adhere to company standards as it pertains to proper excavation practices
- Assists all classes of shop technicians
- Be assigned as specialized helper to Mechanical, Motor & Generator, Wind turbine, Winding, and Switchgear departments
- Assist Plate Shop personnel in accomplishing assigned tasks
- Grinding, scaling and other surfacepreparation activities
- Assisting with some cutting and tacking
- Learning about Hot work requirements
- Become familiar with shop equipment
- Become familiar with blueprint reading
- Assist with tank testing
