About the job We are seeking to construct a best-in-class digital organization, where the ERP serves as a solid, adaptive backbone of our systems, and our supporting functional applications are innovative technology solutions that enable our business to thrive in a digital environment. We are looking for an SAP Release Expert who will ensure that the SAP landscape remains robust, secure, and aligned with business objectives while facilitating smooth system evolution through releases and minimizing disruptions during changes. Main Responsibilities
• Execute and coordinate SAP release activities across the full release lifecycle, from scope readiness and planning through deployment and post-release follow-up.
• Lead SAP CAB and Cross-Digital CAB activities, ensuring changes meet required release criteria, documentation standards, and change control requirements.
• Coordinate release windows and maintain the SAP release calendar, aligning dependencies with Business, AMS, SAP Experts, Project Teams, and Infrastructure Teams.
• Coordinate and monitor SAP transport activities, ensuring transport readiness, correct sequencing, and alignment across SAP system landscapes.
• Perform release readiness and quality checks, identifying missing prerequisites, dependencies, conflicts, and risks ahead of deployment.
• Support quality gates, milestone reviews, and Business Go/No-Go preparations by providing accurate release status, risks, open points, and mitigation actions.




• Track release execution end-to-end, proactively following up on issues and dependencies, and escalating deviations that may impact scope, timeline, quality, or business continuity.
• Prepare and maintain release documentation, including release plans, deployment information, release notes, status reporting, and operational handover information.
• Coordinate with AMS, SAP Experts, and Project Teams to ensure smooth transition of changes into production and proper operational readiness.
• Perform post-release reviews and analyses, identifying incidents, process gaps, and improvement opportunities while supporting corrective and preventive actions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Release Management processes, helping standardize and automate activities from development readiness through productive deployment.
• Support the sustainment and evolution of Release Management tools, including Solution Manager, Jira, and Confluence, while identifying opportunities for automation, AI, and improved integration.
• Maintain regular alignment with major SAP rollouts and live-country projects, ensuring visibility of release methodology changes, planned outages, dependencies, and deployment constraints.
• Provide Release Management expertise to projects and operational teams, promoting adherence to release standards and consistent ways of working across the SAP landscape. About You
• 6+ years of experience in ERP/SAP Release Management within complex landscapes, preferably in FMCG and/or Consumer Healthcare environments.
• Solid experience in SAP Release Management, with a strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture, modules, and integrated systems.
• Sufficient technical knowledge to manage dependencies, conflicts, transports, and retrofit activities.
• Good understanding of the SAP S/4HANA upgrade lifecycle, with hands-on contribution to at least one major SAP system upgrade release.
• Experience contributing to the definition and adoption of retrofit,



freeze, and downtime strategies.
• Hands-on experience with Release and Application Lifecycle Management tools such as Jira, SAP Solution Manager, Confluence, and ServiceNow.
• Experience with SAP Focused Build and/or SAP Cloud ALM is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology is a plus.
• Solid understanding of Project Management, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across Business, Project, AMS, and technical teams. Soft Skills
