IT Project Manager

Position Summary

ORCR intends to contract an experienced IT Project Manager to lead technology projects from business-case development through successful production implementation. This traditional project management role—not a Scrum Master position—requires hands-on experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies. The selected candidate will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage risks and dependencies, and ensure projects meet business objectives, schedules, budgets, SDLC compliance and quality standards. The contract term is six months.

Key Responsibilities

·Lead IT projects throughout the full lifecycle, from business case, initiation, and planning through execution, deployment, and production transition.

·Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, resource plans, risk and issue logs, and status reports.

·Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches based on project needs.

·Coordinate business, technology, vendor, and operational stakeholders to clarify scope, requirements, deliverables, and acceptance criteria.

·Facilitate project meetings, track decisions and action items, and communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and escalations.

·Manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, and change control to support predictable delivery.

·Oversee testing, implementation readiness, production deployment, and transition to support teams.

·Ensure project activities comply with applicable governance, security, documentation, and delivery standards.

·Coordinate with key stakeholders in underwriting, product, operations, finance, compliance, architecture, security, infrastructure, data, PMO, vendors, and IT stakeholders to help resolve dependencies and advance assigned work.

·Assist with portfolio-level planning artifacts, staffing/capacity inputs, budget tracking inputs, forecasting support, invoice review support, and purchase order or accrual tracking as requested.





·Support compliance-oriented project execution practices, including SDLC, change management, SOX, access control, segregation of duties, audit evidence retention, and company policy expectations.

Required Qualifications

·Demonstrated 10+ years’ experience managing IT projects from initial business case through production implementation.

·Experience concurrently delivering multiple enterprise technology initiatives involving multiple business and technical teams.

·Strong working knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies.

·Experience managing cross-functional teams, stakeholders, vendors, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, and delivery schedules.

·Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, organization, and problem-solving skills.

·Ability to work independently in a distributed, global team setting.

Preferred Qualifications

·5+ years of Property and Casualty (P&C;) insurance industry experience is strongly preferred.

Deliverables

At a minimum, the Project Manager will be expected to produce, maintain, or contribute to standard project management deliverables, including:

·Project plans, milestone plans, workback schedules, and task trackers.

·Weekly status reports and executive-ready summaries, as requested.

·RAID logs, decision logs, action item logs, and dependency trackers.

·Meeting agendas, meeting notes, stakeholder follow-ups, and escalation materials.

·Readiness checklists, release coordination artifacts, cutover or deployment coordination materials, and hypercare tracking artifacts, where applicable.

·Backlog, defect, issue, and acceptance tracking support in Jira or other approved tools.

Work Arrangement and Schedule

This role is requested to be staffed from offshore. The selected candidate must be available to work hours aligned with the U.S. Eastern Time zone through 3:00 p.m. ET year-round and must be able to collaborate effectively with U.S.-based stakeholders during those hours.
