: Java Microservices Developer (5+ Years Experience)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Java Microservices Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying scalable, high-performance backend services. The ideal candidate is proficient in Spring Boot and the broader Java ecosystem, with a strong grasp of distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot
- Build scalable, distributed, event-driven services using Kafka
- Build and consume RESTful APIs
- Implement service-to-service communication, resiliency patterns, and fault tolerance
- Write clean, testable, well-documented code following best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Dev Ops, QA, Product) in an Agile environment
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues

3 Primary Mandatory Skills

- Java 21 + Spring Boot with Microservices (Kafka) — Core backend development building scalable, distributed microservices with Kafka-based event-driven messaging, plus robust Java fundamentals (Streams, Lambdas, Records, Virtual Threads) and RESTful API design.
- Problem Solving — Strong analytical and problem-solving ability to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex production and design challenges.
- RESTful API Design & Resiliency — Building and consuming REST APIs with service-to-service communication and resiliency patterns.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience, with significant time in microservices
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
