Required Skills :
• Azure Dev Ops & YAML pipelines
• Git / Git Hub, PRs & branching
• Azure: App Services, AKS, ACR, Key Vault
• Terraform and/or Bicep (IaC)
• Docker, Kubernetes, Helm
• Power Shell, Bash, Python, Azure CLI
• Dev SecOps: SAST/SCA, secret scanning, SBOM
• Observability: Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics, Open Telemetry
• SQL/database deployment automation
• Release strategies: rolling, blue-green/canary, rollback
• AI-assisted Dev Ops / engineering tools
Key Responsibilities
1. CI/CD & Release Engineering
• Design, implement, maintain and troubleshoot Azure Dev Ops multi-stage YAML CI/CD pipelines.
• Create reusable pipeline templates, variables, environments, approvals and deployment gates.
• Implement automated build, unit-test, code-quality, security-scan, packaging and deployment workflows.
• Support Git Hub Actions where repositories or delivery workflows use Git Hub.
• Implement controlled releases using rolling, blue-green/canary strategies and automated rollback.
2. Infrastructure as Code & Cloud Automation
• Provision and manage Azure resources using Terraform and/or Bicep; maintain version-controlled infrastructure.
• Automate environment creation, configuration, scaling and configuration-drift detection.
• Use Azure CLI, Power Shell, Bash and Python for operational automation and self-service tooling.
• Apply Azure governance, tagging, policy, cost-awareness and least-privilege practices.
3. Containers & Kubernetes
• Build, scan, tag and manage Docker images and registries using Azure Container Registry.
• Deploy and operate workloads on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) using Kubernetes manifests and Helm.
• Understand ingress, services, config/secrets, autoscaling, health probes, namespaces and resource limits.
• Apply container security and runtime protection using Microsoft Defender for Containers / Defender for Cloud where applicable.
4. Dev SecOps & Supply-Chain Security
• Integrate SAST, software composition analysis, secret scanning, IaC security checks and dependency scanning into pipelines.
• Generate and manage Software Bill of Materials (SBOM) and support artifact integrity/signing practices.
• Use Azure Key Vault, managed identities, RBAC and workload identity/OIDC instead of hard-coded or long-lived credentials.
• Implement security/compliance gates and remediate findings across source, pipeline, infrastructure and runtime.
5. Observability, Reliability & Operations
• Implement Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics and Open Telemetry-based observability where appropriate.
• Create actionable dashboards, alerts, health checks and deployment-quality gates.
• Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, problem management and post-incident corrective actions.
• Track reliability indicators and continuously improve availability, performance, deployment recovery and operational resilience.
6. Database & Application Delivery
• Automate SQL/database deployment and migration workflows using SQL projects/DACPAC, Liquibase, Flyway or equivalent tools.
• Support .NET/C# and React application build, packaging, configuration and workplace promotion.
• Manage artifacts and versioning through Azure Artifacts, Git Hub Packages or equivalent repository solutions.
7. Engineering Excellence & AI-Assisted Productivity
• Promote reusable Dev Ops standards, templates, documentation and developer self-service practices.
• Evaluate and responsibly use AI-assisted engineering/Dev Ops tools for pipeline authoring, troubleshooting, documentation and automation, with human review.
• Identify bottlenecks in software delivery and improve deployment frequency, lead time, change-failure rate and recovery time.
• Mentor developers and team members on Git workflows, CI/CD, cloud automation, secure delivery and operational practices.
