The job
Own the sourcing of critical parts for live UAV and defence programmes, where a wrong spec or a missed week costs a trial, a tender or a delivery to the forces.
- Read drawings, BOMs and specs; catch what the customer missed
- Source motors, ESCs, flight controllers, airframes, payloads and machined parts from anywhere in the world; find the vendor who's made this exact part before
- Build non-Chinese, NDAA-compliant supply chains as indigenisation targets tighten
- Write RFQs, negotiate price and lead time
- Explicit major compliances: import, export (SCOMET), end-user certificates and MIL/AS9100 certifications
- Visit shop floors; learn how the part is made and where it fails
- Run orders from PO to delivery
Who you are
A mechanical, electrical or aerospace engineering student who can read a drawing, pick up a phone, and won't let go until the part ships. Bonus if you've built or flown a drone. You're based in Bengaluru or ready to move.
Working hours
12 hours a day, aligned to sourcing time zones. 6 days a week.
After
Full-time in 3–6 months if you're good. Lead a sourcing team within a year if you're the best.
