Data Infrastructure and Analytics Industry is Looking for:

The Technical Lead is a hands-on technical contributor and people leader responsible for developing Product solutions while providing technical leadership to a team of 4 to 6 Technical Data Analysts based in India. Reporting to the Head of Product in the US, this individual is expected to spend the majority of their time writing code, reviewing technical solutions, solving complex problems, and strengthening the technical capabilities of the team.

Responsibilities

- Hands on Development: Actively develop and maintain Product solutions using SQL, Python, Snowflake, AWS, Tableau, PowerBI and other relevant technologies, contributing directly to Product initiatives.
- Technical Leadership: Provide daily technical guidance to Technical Data Analysts (TDAs), helping them solve complex problems, make sound technical decisions, and implement effective solutions.
- Code Reviews and Standards: Review SQL and Python code to ensure accuracy, efficiency, performance, maintainability, and adherence to technical standards.
- Product Engineering: Contribute to the design and development of analytics solutions, data models, BI dashboards, predictive models, and other product capabilities
- Technical Problem Solving: Serve as the primary technical escalation point for India based Product TDAs, troubleshooting complex issues, resolving blockers, and escalating matters to US Product leadership when necessary.
- Technical Delivery: Execute priorities established by US Product leadership,



ensuring assigned technical work is completed with the expected quality and within agreed timelines and sprints.
- Delivery Quality: Establish and reinforce appropriate data validation, testing, and quality practices across the team's development activities.
- People Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of TDAs, providing regular feedback, performance evaluations, technical coaching, and opportunities for professional development.
- Team Capacity: Manage technical workload, resource allocation, and PTO planning to maintain adequate coverage and support Product priorities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the US Head of Product, US Tech Lead, analysts and engineers to communicate technical progress, challenges, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

- 8+ years of hands-on experience developing SQL, Python, data analytics, or business intelligence solutions in production environments.
- Advanced SQL skills, including complex query development, performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Strong Python development experience, including building data processing workflows, transformations, and analytics solutions.
- Robust experience with relational databases and cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, SQL Server, Oracle, Redshift, BigQuery, or similar technologies.
- Experience designing, developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing data warehouses, ELT processes, and data pipelines.
- Hands-on experience with Tableau and/or Power BI, including dashboard development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data transformations, data quality,



and modern analytics architecture.
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving, debugging, and root cause analysis skills.
- Prior experience managing a team of data analysts, technical analysts, or engineers, including providing technical guidance, mentoring, and performance feedback.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing SQL and Python code, providing constructive feedback, and enforcing development and quality standards.
- Ability to independently design and develop technical solutions while guiding team members through complex implementation challenges.
- Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies, improve development practices, and implement technical best practices.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical documentation and development standards.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly.
- Experience collaborating with US based teams. Prior onsite work experience in the US is a plus.
- Ability to balance hands-on technical development with team leadership, technical escalations, and delivery responsibilities.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices and collaboration tools
