About Sethu
Sethu is a not-for-profit organisation based in Goa, dedicated to ensuring that
every child, especially those facing neurodevelopmental, emotional, educational
or behavioural challenges, can thrive within their families and communities.
Since our inception, we have supported over 10,500 children and caregivers,
providing assessment, therapy, early intervention, and caregiver training rooted in
neuro-affirming, strengths-based, family-centred care. We have collaborated
closely with local government departments, other reputed NGOs, and companies.
The Role
We are seeking a driven Fundraising & Development Officer to drive the execution of
Sethu's resource mobilization efforts. You will work in a team with Communications
professionals and the COO, helping to execute a cohesive fundraising roadmap by
managing grant compliance, drafting compelling proposals, and ensuring a high
standard of donor stewardship.
This is a full time, in-person, campus-based role. The challenges of modern fundraising
require dynamic brainstorming, direct communication, and a deep, daily connection to
the cause – things that can only be achieved by being physically present at the Centre.
Key Responsibilities
Pipeline Execution & Campaign Management: Maintain a structured pipeline of
fundraising opportunities. Plan and execute targeted fundraising campaigns
(such as crowdfunding) tailored for domestic audiences (CSR, foundations, HNIs)
and international supporters.
Grant Management & Institutional Compliance: Oversee the end-to-end reporting
process – from data collection to final submission. Work closely with program and
finance teams to create high-quality reports that fulfill donor commitments on time.
Maintain compliance and timely communication with international organizations
for global diaspora funding.
Due Diligence & Renewals: Complete due diligence submissions for
new donors and draft proposals for the renewal of existing individual,
corporate, and institutional grants.
On-site Engagement & Corporate Partnerships: Plan and execute on-
site meetings for our valuable supporters. Manage the logistics and execution of corporate engagement models, such as hosting
employee volunteering days.
Narrative Translation & Storytelling: Participate in regular communication through
acknowledgments, newsletters, and impact stories. Articulate the efficacy of Sethu's
WHO-ICF aligned Trifecta Model (neuro-affirming, strengths-based, and family-centred
care) into sharp, audience-specific narratives and evidence-based grant proposals.
Donor Database & Administration: Maintain and regularly update Sethu's historical and
current donor databases, ensuring accurate tracking of financial commitments,
reporting deadlines, and high standards of stewardship.
Candidate Profile
Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in the Social Sciences,
Development Studies, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 2 to 4 years of experience specifically in NGO fundraising, CSR
coordination, grant administration, or corporate communications.
Proactive Ownership: You do not wait for instructions. You are comfortable taking
the initiative, driving projects forward independently, and exploring new avenues
to build awareness about Sethu's projects.
Mission Immersion: A deep empathy for child development and family guidance.
You actively connect with our programs and mission to develop a deep
understanding of our daily work..
Strong Communicator: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the
ability to draft structured proposals, concept notes, impact reports, donor
newsletters, and compelling pitch narratives.
Organizational Skills: High attention to detail, capable of tracking multiple grant
deadlines, compliance metrics, and managing a CRM/donor database effectively.
