About Apps IslandApps Island is looking for a talented and technically capable Microsoft Power Platform & Copilot Studio AI Developer to join our growing team. We are looking for someone who combines strong Power Platform development skills with practical AI agent development experience. The ideal candidate should be able to develop business applications, automate complex workflows, and build advanced AI agents that integrate with enterprise systems and deliver accurate, reliable, and consistent results. Candidates must have hands-on experience with both the classic (old) and new Microsoft Copilot Studio interfaces and be comfortable working across the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
1. Microsoft Copilot Studio & AI Development
• Design, develop, test, and deploy intelligent AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
• Work with both classic and new Copilot Studio interfaces and capabilities.
• Build complex, multi-step agents capable of handling sophisticated business scenarios and processes.
• Configure agent instructions, topics, knowledge sources, generative answers, actions, and orchestration.
• Integrate AI agents with external applications, APIs, databases, SharePoint, and enterprise systems.
• Implement appropriate validation, error handling, fallback mechanisms, and response verification.
• Minimize AI hallucinations and ensure agents provide accurate, grounded, and contextually relevant responses.
• Optimize agent performance, reliability, and response quality. 2. Microsoft Power Apps Development
• Design and develop business applications using Power Apps.
• Build Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps based on business requirements.
• Integrate Power Apps with SharePoint, Dataverse, Power Automate, and external systems.
• Develop user-friendly interfaces and implement business logic.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize existing applications. 3. Microsoft Power Automate
• Design and develop advanced Power Automate workflows.
• Automate complex business processes involving multiple systems and data sources.
• Integrate Power Automate with Copilot Studio agents, Power Apps, SharePoint,



Microsoft 365, and external APIs.
• Work with approvals, conditions, expressions, variables, JSON, and error-handling mechanisms.
• Develop custom connectors and API-based integrations where required.
• Ensure workflows are reliable, scalable, and properly monitored. 4. Integrations & Microsoft Ecosystem
• Develop integrations between Microsoft Power Platform components and third-party applications.
• Work with REST APIs, JSON, authentication mechanisms, and custom connectors.
• Implement integrations with Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, and other Microsoft services.
• Troubleshoot integration issues and ensure secure and reliable data exchange.
• Understand how different Microsoft technologies can work together to deliver complete business solutions. Required Skills & Qualifications
• 1–2+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Power Platform and AI development.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, including both classic and new interfaces.
• Strong experience in developing Power Apps applications.
• Strong experience in developing Power Automate flows, including complex business workflows.
• Proven ability to build advanced AI agents rather than just basic chatbots.
• Understanding of AI agent architecture, instructions, knowledge grounding, orchestration, and actions.
• Experience integrating AI agents with APIs, databases, and external applications.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, authentication, and data integrations.
• Experience with SharePoint and Microsoft Dataverse.
• Understanding of AI hallucinations, grounding techniques, response validation, and responsible AI implementation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.




• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and deliver projects with minimal supervision. Preferred / Additional SkillsThe following skills will be considered a solid advantage:
• Microsoft Power BI, including dashboards, reports, and data integration.
• Microsoft AI Foundry experience.
• Azure AI Services and Azure OpenAI.
• Experience with advanced AI models and agent orchestration.
• Experience with custom connectors and enterprise integrations.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and application authentication.
• Experience designing enterprise-level automation and AI solutions. We need a developer who can independently design and deliver complete business solutions using Microsoft Power Platform and AI technologies. The ideal candidate should:
• Be capable of developing complex AI agents that solve real business problems.
• Understand how to connect AI agents with multiple applications, APIs, and business systems.
• Be able to develop complete solutions combining Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio.
• Prioritize accuracy, reliability, and consistency in AI-generated responses.
• Understand how to minimize hallucinations through proper grounding, instructions, validation, and integration design.
• Take full responsibility for the quality and accuracy of their deliverables.
• Test solutions thoroughly and proactively identify potential issues.
• Be able to understand business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions. Important: We value practical development experience and the ability to deliver working solutions more than theoretical knowledge or certifications alone. Experience Requirements
• Candidates with 2+ years of relevant experience are preferred.
• Candidates with at least 1 year of hands-on experience are also encouraged to apply if they can demonstrate strong technical capabilities and practical project experience.
