Our client is looking for a Junior Accountant (QuickBooks Online & Dext) to support their accounting team with day-to-day accounting and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, comfortable following established workflows, and proactive in identifying discrepancies and seeking clarification when needed.
Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM EST; Full-time, 40 work hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process invoices and vendor bills.
- Match and reconcile bank transactions.
- Reconcile receipts and accounting documents, including through Dext.
- Process customer payments and remittances.
- Reconcile vendor and customer statements.
- Perform BOL and accounting data entry and verification.
- Monitor the accounting inbox and follow up on missing documents or information.
- Work with QuickBooks Online.
- Use Excel and Google Sheets for accounting-related tasks.
- Provide general accounting and administrative support.
Requirements:
- Experience with QuickBooks Online and Dext (Highly preferred).
- Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience (Preferred).
- Highly detail-oriented and organized with robust attention to accuracy and verification.
- Comfortable following established processes and workflows.
- Ability to identify discrepancies and inconsistencies without making assumptions when information is unclear.
- Proactive mindset—knows when to ask questions and escalate issues appropriately.
