About the Firm

A specialist investment banking firm focused on climate tech, deep tech, sustainability and energy transition. The firm primarily advises growth-stage companies on transactions of USD 10 million to USD 40 million.

The Role

Build sector expertise and client relationships that generate advisory mandates. Work closely with the Founder, supported by an established execution team. Take ownership of origination and transaction delivery, with a path towards partnership.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop sector insights across business models, technology, industry economics and capital needs.
- Build lasting relationships with founders, business leaders and investors.
- Identify fundraising, M&A; and strategic advisory opportunities. Convert qualified opportunities into signed mandates.
- Lead transactions through valuation, structuring, due diligence, investor engagement, negotiations and closing.
- Build institutional knowledge, mentor team members and help expand the firm's sector coverage.

Candidate Profile

- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, PE, VC, corporate finance or entrepreneurship.
- Meaningful equity fundraising or M&A; experience.



Ideally, hands-on responsibility for transactions of USD 25 million to USD 100 million.
- Solid financial modelling, valuation and transaction structuring skills.
- Ability to turn sector knowledge and relationships into business opportunities.
- Strong communication, sound judgement and comfort working independently in a small, entrepreneurial team.
- Relevant investor relationships and sector familiarity are valued. Experience using AI for research and modelling is an advantage.
- CA, CFA or postgraduate qualifications in finance or management are preferred. Demonstrated performance matters more than pedigree.

First-Year Priorities

Build coverage across one or two priority sectors. Generate three to five credible mandate opportunities by month eight. Convert self-originated opportunities into mandates and lead at least one transaction through execution within the first year.

Compensation and Growth

Competitive fixed pay, a performance-linked bonus and revenue share on deal fees from new client relationships. Progression towards partnership economics depends on sustained origination, client ownership and transaction delivery.
