Senior QA Engineer
- GenAI-First Quality Engineering Open Cascade, part of Capgemini, is looking for a Senior QA Engineer who actively uses Generative AI to improve software quality, testing efficiency, and automation while maintaining strong professional QA judgment and ownership of the result. We need an experienced QA qualified who understands modern quality engineering practices and can help us introduce, improve, and scale effective GenAI-assisted testing approaches across the team. What you will do
• Use GenAI for test design, test case generation, automation, exploratory testing, defect analysis, debugging, documentation, and requirements analysis.
• Critically review and validate AI-generated tests and recommendations rather than relying on them blindly.
• Design and improve test strategies for complex products and features.
• Develop and maintain automated UI and API tests and integrate them into the development lifecycle.
• Apply modern approaches such as risk-based testing, shift-left quality, continuous testing, and intelligent test automation.
• Identify where GenAI can improve existing QA processes and introduce practical new approaches and tools.
• Analyze product risks, requirements, logs, failures, and system behavior to identify issues early.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product, business analysts, architects, and DevOps.
• Help raise QA standards and share modern testing and GenAI practices across the team.



Must-have qualifications
• Strong professional experience in software testing and quality engineering, typically 5+ years.
• Hands-on experience using GenAI in QA or software engineering workflows.
• Solid knowledge of modern testing methodologies, test strategy, and automation approaches.
• Experience with UI and API test automation.
• Ability to evaluate, validate, and improve AI-generated tests, scripts, and technical solutions.
• Robust understanding of functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
• Ability to analyze complex systems, requirements, dependencies, logs, and technical failures.
• Ability to identify opportunities to improve QA processes and introduce new practices.
• Strong technical curiosity, systems thinking, and ownership of product quality.
• English working proficiency at B2 level or above. Nice to have Experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, REST API testing, CI/CD, performance testing, security testing, observability tools, or AI-assisted testing platforms. Experience introducing GenAI-based QA practices, AI-assisted automation, intelligent test generation, or quality engineering improvements within an engineering team would be a strong advantage. We value solid QA fundamentals, automation skills, technical judgment, curiosity, and the ability to use GenAI to make quality engineering faster, smarter, and more effective.
